Emme Gel is the company founded in 1974 as a Surgela (Italgel) dealer for the province of Florence, with the aim of marketing frozen products in Tuscany.
The steady growth of the frozen food sector, the quality of products handled and the company’s organization have enabled Emme Gel to become a leader in the marketing of frozen food products, both for catering and retail.
Emme Gel is now a Nestlè Italy dealer, ice cream and frozen food division, for the provinces of Florence, Prato and Pistoia and extends its expertise with marketing and re-billing services for both large retailers and small commercial groups.
Emme Gel’s strength is also in facilitating the market launch of products with a strong innovative charge, both for large-scale distribution and catering.
In 1995 , a major corporate reorganization takes place through which the logistics sector(Frigo Gel) is split from the sales and production sector(Emme Gel), still under the ownership of the Martelli family.
Emme Gel owns three brands–Minus 30, Ice Class and Emme Gel–mainly frozen seafood products that are distributed throughout Italy.
Emme Gel, as early as 2006, began production of 4 products under the Meno 30 brand with a steady expansion of the range in the following years.
